About me

Pilates is more than just a workout for me. It’s genuinely a way of life. It makes me feel strong, in tune with my body and powerful.

Having discovered the joy of Pilates while pregnant with my first daughter, I truly fell in love with it after the birth of my twins. The second pregnancy had been hard on my body and had left me weak and somewhat broken. With a severe diastasis recti (tummy muscle separation) that doctors thought only surgery could heal, I felt deflated and let down. However, having had x2 c-sections already, I was determined not to undergo yet more surgery. This is where the power of Pilates stepped in. With the expertise of an excellent Pilates instructor and physiotherapist, I began to rehab my body and bit by bit an almost impossible transformation took place. Several months later the results were unbelievable. I no longer required surgery. I felt stronger and more empowered than ever.

With this transformative experience in my back pocket, I quickly decided that my long held secret desire to teach Pilates had to happen. It was now an essential part of my everyday life. I felt passionate about bringing the power of Pilates to other people, to help them feel stronger, longer and essentially happier. It was then that I began training with APPI (the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute) who have a strong focus on using Pilates as a tool to strengthen and heal the body. Several hundred hours of observing, studying and teaching later and I graduated as a fully accredited APPI Pilates Matwork Instructor.

Next came my reformer certification which really added to my passion as I grew to understand what an amazing machine Joseph Pilates had designed. Combining teaching on the mat and reformer quickly became my go-to. I love how cleverly the reformer can add assistance or resistance to a Pilates workout and introducing my clients to it has been such a pleasure.

I love creating bespoke sessions that challenge and inspire my clients. I design my classes specifically for each individual, aiming to lengthen, strengthen, build flexibility and ultimately help to engage the mind as well as the body. Seeing my clients grow in confidence and strength is why I am so grateful to have found Pilates and to be able to share that love and empower other people.
